Golf Resources and other links
While this site should serve as great putting green and other golf resources for building and maintaining your own backyard putting green, I have been in this business long enough to know I certainly don’t know everything. Even researching some of the information available for this site, I have continued to learn. Backyard putting greens was not a concept I came up with, and while I knew of a few cases where people were managing to make them work, I had no idea what a large underground gardening movement there was, already building small golf greens or even holes for personal use.
One of the things about the golf maintenance resources available on the internet is that when they are commercial in nature, they provide precious little in information for free. There are, however, some worthwhile places to visit. Some specialized directories have human reviewed lists of useful sites, others sites have information from university or research settings targeted to golf course superintendents but great free resources for home enthusiasts, and finally there are commercial sites that sell good quality equipment, or are willing to sell to individuals that ought to be recognized.
So that being said, below is a list of categories under which I have lists of useful resources on the internet. I cannot vouch for each and every site, which is why I have a few words on each page that explains why I have included it and you can decide if you wish to visit.
Hopefully this is another useful element to
